Our Operational Control Management System Department (OCMS) maintains an extensive range of ICT and OT systems for the reliable and safe delivery of Train Services. The metropolitan network is experiencing a significant amount of changes and upgrades to improve the services provided to the Melbourne public.

The Position

Reporting to the Digital Train Radio System (DTRS) Program Manager, a snapshot of responsibilities includes:

  • Assess and identify vulnerabilities of the existing and new DTRS Network
  • Design, review and execute the roadmap for changes  to ensure Cyber Security compliance
  • Collaborate with MTM Leadership and key stakeholders to achieve the desired outcome
  • Provide guidance and drive technical solutions with the relevant contractor engaged in achieving planned modifications of the DTRS sub-systems
  • Represent the Department as an authority on both internal and external audits

About You

Ideally, the successful candidate will possess the following;

  • Relevant IT tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience with Telecommunication CORE sub-system network element builds and/or upgrades
  • Previous experience with 2G and 3G mobile telecommunication systems within a railway environment (desired), including implementation challenges and constraints
