About the Role


We are seeking a Solution Architect to investigate and provide timely technology solutions to meet business needs while adhering to enterprise architecture (EA) strategies, processes, guidelines, security best practice and business goals. The role is responsible for estimating material costs, service costs and labour effort. You will also be creating all architecture artefacts relating to the solution, any dependencies and implementation governance.



  • Deliver and ensure Solution Architecture Documents (SADs), High Level Designs (HLDs), Total Costs Estimations (TCE), Bill of Materials (BoM), Detail Level Design (DLDs), messaging contracts, Technical Maintenance Plans (TMPs) are aligned with the EA
  • Support the creation of governance, assurance and standards to guide Enterprise Architect (EA) decision making
  • Engage with technical pre-project activities including the delivery of Feasibility Studies, Project Brief and Order of Magnitude Estimations (OOM) 
  • Provide governance on vendor generated design documentation ensuring compliance with OCMS (Operational Control and Management Systems) requirements and standards.
  • Provide timely and concise input into project documentation, including project schedules, project operational requirement, scope statement project impact statement artefacts
  • Participate in cybersecurity governance and assessment processes including, Security Risk Assessments (SRA), Victorian Protective Data Security Framework (VPDSF) assessments to ensure alignment and compliance with the EA

About You


  • Experience in creating effective partnerships to deliver architectural outcomes
  • Strong understanding of data and integration architecture pertaining to developing solution architecture
  • Knowledge of business, operating and financial models, as well as cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management. Sound knowledge of TOGAF ADM.
  • Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management
  • Good understanding of infrastructure and operations, EA and ITIL frameworks
  • Awareness of asset management frameworks and ISO standards (ISO 55000-55001)
  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, micro-services, event-driven IT and predictive analytics
