About the team

 

Corporate Services teams at Metro are responsible for providing essential support services that enable the business to function efficiently and effectively. From Safety and People, Marketing and Communication to Finance and Legal, and IT. Our Corporate Services teams work collaboratively to ensure that the business operates smoothly and as one team. 

  

 

About the role

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Operations Assistant to join our Learning & Development Team. The incumbent will report directly to the General Manager, L&D.

 

 

This role provides high level administrative support to the General Manager (L&D/Metro Academy) and the broader Leadership team along with general business support across all L&D locations.

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Provide administrative support to the General Manager and the associated leadership team including management of internal and external correspondence.  
  • Draft and implement the Metro Academy meeting schedule to maximise cross functional efficiencies.
  • Provide administrative and content support to produce reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support to L&D projects including timeline preparation and tracking, resource acquisition and stakeholder engagement.
  • Liaise with the Safety and Health team to assist with the coordination and support of the Drug and Alcohol testing process for Learning and Development. 
  • Any other duties as specified by the General Manager.

 

About you 

 

  • Experience in administration and customer service
  • High attention to detail and excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
  • Skilled at prioritising and switching between tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong stakeholder engagement strategies both internal and external
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and ability (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
