ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an OCMS Systems Engineer to join the OT Systems team working with a range of different stakeholders across the business. In this role you will be required to support with the on-call roster approximately every 4 weeks with support including some out of hours work for software releases.
You’ll play a critical role to ensure the successful operations of technologies such as the Control Monitoring Systems (CMS), Tunnel Intruder Alarm System (TIAS) and other operational technologies delivered by the Metro Tunnel Project. You’ll provide technical maintenance advice, including troubleshooting, implementing solutions and making modifications with SCADA and PLC programming. You’ll complete and update Technical Maintenace Plans (TMP) and interface with internal stakeholder and third-party contractors on system faults.
Please note this is a 12 - month opportunity working across 628 Bourke Street and 700 Collins.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You’ll be the first point of contact for technical, electrical, maintenance and operations teams to support with Operational Technology such as SCADA, PLCs and networks.
- Deliver augmentation and renewal projects including programmes across OCMS Systems to ensure system performance including the delivery of systems on the Metro Tunnel Project
- You’ll lead and participate in workshops, planning, design and integration activities to ensure a high quality and ensure compliance with Metro’s standards
- Drive continuous improvements to minimise risks associated with the operational technology
- Ensure that all system changes meet engineering standards within MTM/OCMS change policies and practices
- You'll build strong relationships with a range of different stakeholders across internal and external including project teams, contractors and vendors
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Systems and/or Control Systems)
- Must have experience in PLC, SCADA, Network Communications and OT infrastructure
- Hands on experience completing technical maintenance tasks on Industrial Control Systems.
- Effective ability and experience in troubleshooting and fault resolution.
- Technical writing experience to create and modify work instructions and procedures.
- Experience in 24/7 on call support
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across a multi-discipilnary organisation and communicate with influence
