About the Role

We’re looking for an Asset Information & Business Specialist to play a key role in shaping how we manage and optimise assets across the Operational Control and Management Systems (OCMS) division.

In this position, you will provide governance and oversight of both tactical and strategic asset management practices across our asset portfolio. You’ll lead a range of asset management initiatives while driving improvements to systems, processes, and information management to support evolving business needs.

This is a permanent opportunity, based at 700 Collins Street.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and embed strategic and tactical Asset Management improvements in accordance with the Asset Information Strategy, contractual obligations and emerging business needs.
  • Lead the ongoing development of OCMS’ Asset Management practices and initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement to processes/procedures.
  • Support the division’s Asset management governance and compliance requirements. This includes participating, preparing and demonstrating evidence in audits along with embedding requirements and process changes into business-as-usual activities.
  • Ensure that assets are registered correctly, maintained and oversee the systems managing the assets in the field to ensure accuracy and traceability.

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in an Information Technology or Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Asset Management systems, processes and technologies, in an Asset Intensive industry.
  • Expertise working with Asset Management frameworks, systems, processes and technologies aligning with the ISO 55000 and ISO 55001 international standards for asset management.
  • Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems and information management.
  • Strong business acumen and technical background to provide services and implement process and system changes across business areas.
  • Can act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and build effective relationships within the business to promote and embed an effective asset management culture
  • Capable of managing multiple deliverables and complex issues, in a busy and evolving delivery environment.
