ABOUT THE ROLE

The Integration Platform Analyst will be responsible for design and development of new integrations and maintenance of existing integrations on Metro’s Solace and Boomi platforms. They will also champion migration of  existing legacy point to point integrations to Boomi and/or Solace and support the Integration Platform Lead with prioritisation and planning team’s activities and platform roadmap.

The role will be recognised as the expert in the Boomi and Solace technology stacks but also have a competent understanding of related technologies.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity based at 700 Collins Street, Docklands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, configure, build, test, deploy and manage integration solutions based on Solace and Boomi in cloud hosted environment.
• Take accountability of end-to-end integration solution from source to destination and collaborate effectively with architects and other system owners to ensure a stable, secure, and reliable integration is delivered and maintained.
• Apply Integration best practices by ensuring adherence to defined integration platform patterns / processes and design standards.
• Document technical designs and solutions.
• Support Integration platform lead in analysing, estimating, and costing new requirements and with prioritisation and planning of team’s activities and platform roadmap.
• Liaise with business and technical stakeholders/teams to understand requirements, resolve issues and dependencies and support project managers with scheduling, costing, and tracking risks, issues, and progress. 
• Contribute to the IT Service Management of Boomi Solace platform, and the APIs/Integrations deployed on the platforms which includes 24/7 on-call rosters, incident management, problem management, monitoring and routine and reactive maintenance ensuring minimum disruption to business operations.
• Liaise with support services and product vendors to ensure adequate levels of monitoring and ongoing support of the integration processes, including ongoing software releases, patching and software upgrades for the optimal running of the integration platforms.
• Ensure SLA adherence both through internal support and vendor management against committed SLAs.

ABOUT YOU

• Solid experience designing and building various integration solutions on Boomi platform in complex large-scale environments.
• Experience in designing and building Event Steaming and message processing solutions on platforms such as Solace.
• Deep understanding and knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), event-driven architecture, data integration patterns, API Gateways and various message brokers and communication protocols, such as REST, MQTT, ActiveMQ etc.
• Understanding of Azure cloud concepts and experience with Azure DevOps, Azure SQL managed instances.
• Able to self-manage to tight deadlines and manage priorities appropriately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in delivery and maintenance of effective integration solutions.
• Tertiary studies in a Software Engineering/ Computer Science or equivalent disciplines.
