About the role
This is a newly created position responsible for developing and implementing the process for allocating all safeworking overtime shifts across Infrastructure, as well as managing the day-to-day allocation of those shifts.
By leveraging your safeworking expertise, you will act as the subject matter expert for all non-shutdown safeworking resource requests. This includes reviewing requests to ensure that resourcing is well planned, appropriately allocated, safely delivered, and compliant with all relevant standards and legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and approve safeworking requirements for all non-shutdown Infrastructure works, ensuring they are planned and delivered safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clear and consistent safeworking processes, standards, and planning frameworks.
- Coordinate all non-shutdown safeworking activities, bookings, and approvals to align teams, optimise resources and manage fatigue.
- Use safeworking data and reporting to monitor performance and drive improvement
- Ensure compliance, manage risks, and provide expert guidance through effective stakeholder engagement to support safe and efficient operations.
About you
- Track Force Protection Coordinator 3.3
- A current and valid Victorian Drivers Licence
- Proven ability to interpret and apply safeworking standards, rail safety legislation, and operational procedures
- Strong reporting and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across delivery, maintenance, projects, and planning teams
- Experience in reviewing and validating technical safeworking plans, PTF (Permit to Foul) Zones and occupation strategies
