ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Works Assistant in the Infrastructure Signals team, you will support in the delivery of maintenance and renewals, assist with reactive maintenance needs, system alterations/upgrades and new works.
This is a permanent role based at our Docklands infrastructure depot. You will be working Monday to Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm.
Overtime opportunities are also available, and there will be the expectation to occasionally work weekends and nightshifts
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with installing, repairing, and modifying infrastructure assets.
- Perform manual labour using hand and mechanical tools for maintenance and upgrades.
- Operate vehicles, equipment, and assist with larger machinery as needed.
- Support safety procedures, inspections, and update systems with asset condition data.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas, while managing hazards and following safety regulations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Mandatory
- Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure
- Train Track Safety Awareness Certificate
- TFPC 3.1
Preferred
- First Aid Certificate
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the rail industry
- Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s license
