ABOUT THE ROLE 

As the Works Assistant in the Infrastructure Signals team, you will support in the delivery of maintenance and renewals, assist with reactive maintenance needs, system alterations/upgrades and new works.

This is a permanent role based at our Docklands infrastructure depot. You will be working Monday to Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm.

Overtime opportunities are also available, and there will be the expectation to occasionally work weekends and nightshifts

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with installing, repairing, and modifying infrastructure assets.
• Perform manual labour using hand and mechanical tools for maintenance and upgrades.
• Operate vehicles, equipment, and assist with larger machinery as needed.
• Support safety procedures, inspections, and update systems with asset condition data.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas, while managing hazards and following safety regulations

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory

• Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure
• Train Track Safety Awareness Certificate 
• TFPC 3.1 

Preferred

• First Aid Certificate
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the rail industry
• Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s license
