About the role

We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support the successful delivery of Southern Program Alliance projects through the timely and compliant procurement of materials and services.

In this role, you will be a key point of contact for project teams, ensuring goods and services are sourced to the required quality, cost and timeframe, in line with MTM procurement policies and governance requirements. Your ability to manage multiple tenders, engage stakeholders and navigate time‑critical procurement activities will be central to project success.

This is a 12 month mex term opportunity based out of our Moorabbin office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procure goods and services to meet project requirements for cost, quality and delivery, in accordance with MTM and Alliance procurement policies.
  • Act as the primary procurement point of contact for project teams, providing timely advice and support on materials and services sourcing.
  • Manage endtoend tender processes, including RFQs and RFPs, ensuring probity, confidentiality and compliance at all stages.
  • Coordinate tender evaluations, clarifications, approvals and contract award recommendations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, draft contracts and manage execution in collaboration with suppliers and MTM Legal.
  • Maintain accurate contract, procurement and materials tracking records, including SAP Ariba administration and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Project Delivery and Alliance stakeholders to manage supply risks and ensure materials are available onsite when required

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing or sourcing within a project or timeconstrained environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage and coordinate multiple internal and external parties.
  • Experience using procurement systems and tools, ideally SAP Ariba or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and selfdirected approach, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Solid capability in the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Law, Commerce or Construction Management (or equivalent practical experience).
