About the role

 

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an Administration Planner at our newly built train maintenance depot in Kananook. In this key role, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Depot Manager, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fleet and maintenance depot. Your organizational expertise will play a vital role in managing and coordinating a wide range of administrative and planning activities to support effective depot management and streamline daily operations.

 

 

Key role responsibilities

 

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Depot Manager and coordinators
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (engineers, officers, contractors, suppliers, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the MTM Health and Wellbeing team for corporate initiatives
  • Administer a variety of documents, including contracts, correspondence, and depot records (medical, training, leave, TTSA, licences)
  • Manage the onsite vehicle register in line with company policy
  • Ensure accurate depot shift patterns are reflected in systems like RosterOn
  • Assist with audits of equipment, stock control, and depot safety interactions
  • Manage depot stock for tooling, equipment, consumables, and stationery
  • Administer and control Metro property, including keys, uniforms, and tools
  • Support workforce planning, scheduling, and coordination of medicals and personnel requirements

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Completion of a relevant Business Administration course supporting middle and senior management
  • Basic knowledge of the metropolitan rail system would be highly desirbale
  • Experience in planning and maintaining work schedules/rosters
  • Ability to work in an environment requiring tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
  • Well-developed data analytical skills
