The Business Analyst is responsible for the development of contractual claims and variations, in line with the OCMS franchise module contractual obligations. You will be involved in the end-to-end process of claims, including data collection across multiple functions and assets and financial modelling, to the submission to the Department of Transport.
Reporting to the OCMS Contractual Claims Manager the Business Analyst will collaborate across internal teams to collect the necessary information and develop and utilise financial models to present and submit variations claims to the Department of Transport to reach commercial outcomes.
This is a 2 year opportunity located in Docklands at our Head Office
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete analysis and documentation to support OCMS strategic priorities
- Engage key stakeholders across the team, division, and broader organisation to collate the required information for claims.
- Support the development of variation claims, including contractual and financial analysis and validation of technical asset details
- Complete financial modelling to prepare contractual claims and variations for submission.
- Collect and manipulate data from various sources to compile into the necessary frameworks required for submission to the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP)
- Engage with Project Management and Engineering teams to collect the artefacts required for the retention submission
- Liaise with internal finance teams and DTP to ensure the accuracy and the timely completion of the retention submission
- Maintaining and updating forecasts and actuals as claims are completed.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualification in Business or Financial Management
- Ability to analyse data and write and present reports, undertake and complete complex tasks
- Ability to communicate to staff at all levels (verbal & written)
- Familiarity and knowledge of key accounting concepts.
- Experience with the preparation and collation of financial information and project management methodologies is desirable.
- Financial modelling experience
- Knowledge of technology assets, asset lifecycle preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with VBA, macros, Power Query and Power BI integration.
