MTM are currently looking for a Business Analyst on a 12 month contract to support our Level Crossing Removal Program of works.

 

Reporting to the Program Controls Manager, this role will interact with key business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand where there may be problems or improvement opportunities. Key to the success of this role will be your ability to analyse business requirements and gather data and information to assess system/process performance.

Key Areas of Responsibility

 

  • Develop strategies and define solutions to address business problems or deficiencies and drive performance improvements across the LX program of works.
  • Investigate and document business requirements using a range of tools and techniques including interviews, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process analysis, scenarios, and task/workflow analysis.
  • Identify and interview relevant stakeholders who may have an interest in, or may be affected by, the problem or solution; complete stakeholder impact analyses; facilitate group workshops where necessary.
  • Work with key stakeholders (both internally and externally facing) to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the LX program.
  • Develop and present consistent reports in line with business needs to track progress and outcomes
  • Assist with the implementation of a program of innovation and improvement that is aligned with the LX strategic objectives and business plan and supports the achievement of business KPIs and other performance measures.

About You

 

A relevant qualification with 5+ years’ Business Analyst experience would be ideal however we also seek applications from those with equivalent experience, combined with any education or training across their career. You will have the ability to elicit, analyse and document processes, business requirements, functional requirements and non-functional requirements whilst engaging with multiple stakeholders at all levels within MTM.  Advanced skills in Microsoft Power BI and MS Office Tools are essential. Your resilience and strength of character will be needed to influence, negotiate and deliver outcomes in line with MTM’s core values.
