Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) have an opportunity for an experience Commercial Manager to support with new and ongoing works as part of Victoria’s Big Build, as part of the North West Program Alliance. This role will work closely with our Alliance Leadership Team to ensure commercial function including financial and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle and be across contractual, financial and reputational interests.
The Commercial Manager for NWPA will lead a small team to drive strong commercial and financial outcomes across multiple projects through both development and delivery phases. Working closely with our Alliance Partners and Level Crossing leadership teams, this role ensures seamless commercial oversight as current delivery phases wrap up and new project packages or programs commence.
Please note these roles are fulltime permanent roles based out at our Albion. We do offer a hybrid working arrangement with the standard of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, which can be alter as requirement dictate.
Key Responsibilities
- You’ll lead the end to end commercial and contract administration for a defined package of alliance works, including head contract, subcontract and supplier agreements
- Ensure accurate and timely forecasting of cost, revenue, margin, risks and opportunities across the life of the works.
- Provide high quality financial analysis to support key commercial and delivery decisions, including impacts to TOC, PODs and alliance performance.
- You’ll maintain and oversee commercial risk and opportunity registers aligned to project and portfolio requirements.
- Support negotiation and administration of major subcontracts and framework agreements.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across Metro, alliance partners, delivery teams and government stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high performing commercial team across contracts, cost control and forecasting functions.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Business, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Have extensive experience within commercial management across construction or infrastructure projects.
- You’ll have demonstrated experience leading contract administration, budgeting, forecasting and commercial governance for large project packages.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control methodologies and risk management.
- Communicate with influence and negotiation with a range of different stakeholders both internally and externally within a commercial environment
- You’ll have strong people leadership experience to support the development of team members within a complex project environment and a multi-disciplinary environment
