About the team

 

Our Network Assets and Assurance (NA&A) team includes more than 2000 people from Infrastructure, Innovation, Engineering, Rolling Stock, OCMS, Strategic Asset Management and Planning and Integration.

 

The NA&A team manage the change to the network – ensuring that the asset outcome is safe, reliable and sustainable, both today and into the future.

 

 

About the role

 

We have an excited opportunity for a Engineering Assurance Lead to support the Metro Tunnel Project to provide provisions on technical, engineer and interface support from the design stage through to delivery.

 

This role plays an integeral part in ensuring governance and stakeholder management to support collaborative resolution of technical and non-technical issues to ensure the best outcome for the project and wider business.

 

Please note this is a max-term full-time opportunity until June 2025.

 

 

  • You’ll lead resolution of technical and non-technical issues that are raised
  • Be a facilitator of discussions to explore problems and provide solutions for key stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Technical Engineering Manager with reporting on status of issues and provide guidance on business improvements initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Engineering team, external stakeholders and design teams to address document reviews, standard waivers, approvals and RFI’s to obtain evidence to address comments/queries
  • You’ll participate in program-wide forums and/or working groups as requested by the Technical Engineering Manager
  • Maintain links with Engineering Interface Managers across other Project portfolios, to identify best-practice, and to maximise opportunities for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

 

 

About you

 

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent (e.g. project management qualification)
  • Strong experience working in an engineering, project management or equivalent discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate for key outcomes through strong stakeholder management with a variety of complex stakeholders
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement across multi - disciplinary organisations
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to interpret, analyse and solve complex issues across a range of technical disciplines
