About the team
Corporate Services teams at Metro are responsible for providing essential support services that enable the business to function efficiently and effectively. From Safety and People, Marketing and Communication, to Finance and Legal, and IT. Our Corporate Services teams work collaboratively to ensure that the business operates smoothly and as one team.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the Project Finance and Commercial team to support the Franchise Projects team. In this role you’ll be partnering with the team to provide financial and analytical support to enhance decision making to maximise outcomes for the business.
This is a full-time permanent role based out of the Collins Street office.
- You’ll lead the financial reporting management of various projects across the Franchise Portfolios and support the business with strategic decision making
- Financial management of month end process and preparation of financial reviews to ensure a high level of accuracy
- You’ll be the key contact for the central finance teams regarding budgets, forecasts and audit inquiries
- Development and maintenance of commercial and financial dashboards and have a strong understanding of systems for reporting purposes across the different programs of work
- Provide advice and support to the Project Services Manager Delivery and the Project Controls Lead – Franchise Projects in understanding, monitoring, analysing and reporting on financial and physical performance for revenue, expenditure & margin outcomes.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting or equivalent
- CPA/CA or equivalent status
- Significant experience in financial management, financial reporting systems, management information systems
- Communicate with influence to a range of different stakeholders across a multi disciplinary business
- You’ll be highly proficient in reporting across Excel and PowerBI to ensure high level of accuracy within data base warehouses across various systems
- Ability to cope with competing demands and a significant volume of work
- Ability to extract, analyse and present statistical data in a clear and concise manner
