About the role

We are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Team Leader to provide financial support, enhanced decision making and maximise outcomes on business issues. Implement and improve the company’s financial policies, procedures and processes and ensure compliance with the Franchise commitments.

In this role you will lead a small team of 2 and assist the Financial Reporting Manager with commentary for internal reporting.

 

This is a full time role based out of 700 Collins.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for the general ledgers accounts and integrity in monthly results.
  • Management of the month end process in accordance with the monthly timetable.
  • Processing accruals/ journals and finalising month end and year end accounts.
  • Financial management of external/agency works including reporting on monthly profitability and financial performance.
  • Ensure audit queries are responded to in a timely manner, including compliance audits by Department of Transport.
  • Assist in streamlining the interface between wider business and finance/business reporting and seeking continuous improvements in processes.

 

 About You

  • Degree qualified in Business or Accounting
  • CPA/CA qualified or working towards
  • Experience and knowledge of key accounting concepts
  • Experience in financial management, business administration and financial reporting systems coupled with solid MS Excel.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to extract, analyse and present statistical data in a clear and concise manner
