About the position
 

You’ll join our friendly Facilities team, working with a group of dedicated gardeners who take pride in keeping our green spaces clean, beautiful and welcoming for commuters across the rail network – from train stations to carparks, shared user paths, Metro depots and facilities.

• Permanent, full time or part time positions available

• Monday – Friday, 7am-3.30pm 

• Working at various locations across the Melbourne Metro Train Network

• Opportunity to be working outdoors and on the tools 

Key Responsibilities

• Follow a weekly gardening schedule alongside a Leading Hand Gardener

• Comprehensive garden maintenance services including leaf and rubbish collection, mowing, weeding, spraying, mulching, pruning, planting and watering

• Working outdoors and on the tools while keeping track of gardening timelines

• Follow safety protocols while working near train tracks

Skills and Experience

• Experience in horticulture, gardening and/or landscaping in parks, reserves or large garden areas 

• Experience in operating a range of mowers and small plant equipment

• Demonstrated organisation and time management skills

• Basic IT skills with portable devices (iPad) 

• A current Full Victorian Driver’s Licence
