ABOUT THE ROLE


This role has been approved to support a Rolling Stock project over an 18 month period, working closely with the Learning Design team. The position requires an experienced Instructional Designer with strong project management capabilities and advanced expertise in Articulate Storyline.
The role focuses on collaborating with Rolling Stock stakeholders to review, update/develop, and enhance Storyline modules, including content and multimedia assets. It requires advanced programming skills to develop engaging, interactive learning, and assessment solutions within a multifaceted blended learning environment.
Success in this role will depend on strong stakeholder engagement, a calm and structured approach, and a high level of attention to detail when working with complex information.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Reporting into the Learning Design Lead, the role has the following key areas of responsibility.
•    Plan, coordinate, and monitor educational projects aligned with instructional design processes 
•    Collaborate with stakeholders across Learning & Education Services and the broader organisation 
•    Provide expert advice on instructional design principles, tools, and continuous improvement 
•    Design and develop learning assets, including LMS integration, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards 
•    Track project progress, manage timelines, and provide regular status reporting 
•    Contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement of educational programs while maintaining branding standards

 

ABOUT YOU


Key Requirements


•    Experience in instructional design methodologies and relevant software
•    Advanced Microsoft Office skills
•    Proven experience supporting multiple business areas within a large organisation
•    Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
•    Ability to track and report on activities
•    Experience working with project management methodologies
•    Demonstrated ability to work independently


Desirable


•    Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
•    Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
