About the role
MTM have an opportunity to join our dynamic team, where you will be partnering with the wider Finance department to provide valuable financial support, drive informed decision-making, and optimise business outcomes. You will play a key part in implementing and refining the company’s financial policies, procedures, and reports, ensuring compliance with Department of Transport and Planning regulations, as well as Shareholder reporting requirements. This opportunity offers a unique gateway to gaining a deep understanding of the business and making a significant impact on its success.
This role is a Monday – Friday position, based out of our Melbourne CBD office, and will report into our Financial Reporting Team Leader.
Key role responsibilities
- Process accruals/journals
- Finalise month and year-end accounts
- Ad-hoc spend analysis
- Provide monthly profitability and financial performance reports to stakeholders
- Provide requested data for external and internal audit queries in a timely manner
- Support preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Support colleagues to ensure key team deliverables are met
- Implement and continuously improve MTM’s financial policies and procedures
Qualifications / Experience
- Degree qualified in Business, Commerce or Accounting is essential to this role
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards
- Must have proven experience of competing demands and significant volumes of work
- Strong understanding key accounting concepts
- Financial management analysis within a complex service delivery organisation
