About the Role

We are looking for a Manager who will be responsible for the life cycle planning of ERP and line of business corporate applications.  In Metro's context, this covers mainstream Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) applications many of which are critical to the overall operation of the business.

This role plays a key role in contributing to the strategy and design of the corporate systems architecture; responsible for a suite of systems that support Finance, People, Safety, Maintenance, Asset Management, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management and Procurement.


Lead a team responsible for the corporate business processes within the ERP functional domains of Asset Management, Plant Maintenance, Finance, SuccessFactors for HCMS and Ariba for Procurement and Contract management.
Build and develop the leadership and functional domain capability within the corporate applications.
Relationship management - ensured through structured forums and updates.
Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organisation.

About You

Tertiary studies in a Software Engineering/ Computer Science or equivalent disciplines.
Extensive experience in managing an application team within a complex multi-disciplined application development.
Demonstrated experience in an ERP (such as Ellipse, SAP, Oracle or Maximo) in application’s functional areas of Asset Management, Plant Maintenance and Finance.
Experienced in managing the risk and cost implications of IT contracts, contract negotiations and IT budgets in an applications development/management context.
