About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Motor Fitter to perform maintenance and repairs on MTM vehicles, plant, and mechanical equipment used across the business. This role is critical to ensuring assets remain safe, reliable, and available to support operational requirements.

You will contribute to the efficient operation of MTM's fleet and equipment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain vehicles, plant, and equipment within your level of competency, ensuring all work is accurately recorded.
• Conduct inspections, servicing, adjustments, and preventative maintenance in accordance with established procedures and schedules.
• Complete pre-hire and post-hire inspections and report any missing, damaged, or defective equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure assets remain safe, compliant, and operationally available.
• Investigate and report faults, defects, and technical issues, escalating concerns to the Supervisor as required.
• Support site operations through the collection and delivery of plant and equipment, operation of handheld scanning devices, and maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.

About You

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, or equivalent trade, or demonstrated capability through relevant industry experience.
• Sound knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and low-voltage electrical systems and components.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, plant, machinery, or mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency in using computer-based maintenance management and record-keeping systems.
• Strong understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements within an industrial or transport environment.
• Well-developed problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
