We’re seeking a creative thinker to enhance how we communicate with passengers across both on-network and digital channels to deliver clear, timely, and brand-aligned information that supports the passenger experience. The role involves close collaboration with the Department of Transport and Planning to ensure all messaging aligns with government guidelines while maintaining the integrity of the Metro brand.
You’ll lead the execution of key information and awareness initiatives/campaigns for major Melbourne events such as the Spring Carnival, New Year’s Eve, the Royal Show, AFL Grand Final and essential messaging on safety, etiquette, and ticketing.
This is a full-time 12 month contract position based at 700 Collins Street with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office). Occasional travel to depots across the Metro Network will be necessary to collaborate with your stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver clear, consistent passenger information, focusing on quality and continuous improvement.
- Plan and support communications for special events, service changes, and key campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Department of Transport and Corporate Affairs to align and deliver integrated messaging.
- Manage Metro’s brand across all passenger communications and ensure consistent use of brand assets.
- Use data and insights to improve communication strategies and passenger engagement.
- Develop briefs for work to be undertaken by external agencies and manage the agencies to develop and deliver passenger information and campaigns
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Communications, Marketing or a related field
- Strong experience in brand marketing role position at a large customer facing
- Strong design experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels including print.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience in influencing others to achieve successful outcomes.
