About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Systems Team Leader to join the team! This role will play technical role in supporting configuration, operation and optimisation of payroll, time and attendance systems. In this role you’ll lead a team of administrators that will provide day to day support, data integrity and systems maintenance to ensure efficiencies.

This is a full-time role based out of our Collins Street office.

Key Responsibilities

  • You’ll be the primary administrator for Payroll and RosterOn time and attendance platforms
  • Have oversite to ensure configuration of Metro’s payroll system environments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation including tax, superannuation and STP
  • You’ll have oversight of uploads of data including bulk entry payments to ensure a high level of accuracy
  • Build up the teams capabilities to ensure system tickets are logged, reviewing release notes and system configuration
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot system rules, workflows, pay elements, leave logic, and EA – driven conditions

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing teams to achieve business targets
  • You’ll have extensive experience with HR / Payroll systems administration
  • Complex T&A and Payroll systems experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Payroll and People systems and processes including SAP and or RosterOn
  • Proven experience in ensuring legislative compliance within payroll and/or HR information systems.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Agreements and workforce legislation.
  • Proven systems, process and reporting capability.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel and Access skills – including data manipulation and transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective business partnerships and stakeholder management.
  • An experienced analyst who is curious, open minded and up to date with current employment and data trends.
  • Proven capability of working with integrated systems and being able to provide insights through reporting.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and managing workload well to achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to schedule and communicate work priorities.
