About the role

With some exciting changes announced within the Payroll team we have created two new positions as Team Leaders to support the development and growth of the Payroll Officers across the Monthly and EA space.

In this role you will you’ll support and lead the teams in ensuring that all allocation and delegation of work is completed in a timely manner, be an escalation point for any payroll inquiries from the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocation of work within the team providing support as an escalation point and building up the wider teams capability
  • Review, monitor and implement improvements to payroll processes and systems
  • Processing of fortnightly payroll and any interim pays.
  • Ensure correct reconciliation and payment of all deductions, and payment of superannuation, including liaising with external funds
  • You’ll assist with review of existing systems and develop improved procedures, and document these, in consultation with the management
  • Interpret relevant employer/employee registered agreements, Awards, directives and policy requirements to ensure correct payment of employees and the effective maintenance of employee Master file details
  • Calculation and preparation of manual payments, including termination, adjustment and redundancy

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working In payroll environments including supervision of staff and/or leadership
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial awards, industrial relations and WorkCover claims policies and procedures
  • Experience in resource management together with sound supervisory skills dealing with a number of complex awards and EA's
  • Experience with working in an integrated multi-system environment
  • Experience  working  with  third  party  providers  including  Centrelink, the ATO, Super funds, and Employee Benefits management organisations
  • In-depth understanding of the Pay Force National computerised payroll system
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, ADP Payforce and RosterOn is beneficial
