ABOUT THE ROLE
We are pleased to advise we have a an exciting full time permanent opportunity for a People Services Coordinator within the People Services team.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused administrator to join our small team. If you love ticking things off a list, helping others get the info they need, and keeping processes running smoothly behind the scenes — we want to hear from you.
As a People Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating onboarding activities to give new starters a great first impression, process employee changes such as secondments, and classification changes, monitor and respond to queries sent to the People Services inbox, helping to answer every-day employee lifecycle questions or triaging them to the right team who can support their query.
The People Services Coordinator role is also responsible for preparing letters and employee documentation upon request, keeping MetroMe up to date with accurate and timely data and supporting the People Services team on process improvements and initiatives.
While every day can be different, our People Services Coordinators work closely with our key contacts including People & Culture Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, individual employees and managers, as well as external vendors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle queries and requests from employees, managers, and external parties, providing timely and helpful responses or directing them to the appropriate channels.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across designated client groups.
- Responsible for actioning diverse day-to-day people administration tasks covering the entire employee lifecycle, including new hire setup, employment verification, and contractor requests.
- Complete accurate and timely data entry, in relevant systems, for all employment records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Action People Services inbox queries and IT service requests promptly and manage documentation and electronic filing of employment-related paperwork.
- Assist hiring managers with onboarding external contractors and consultants.
- Process staff movement and employment changes, updating records accordingly in People systems and action classification progressions and employment changes.
- Contribute to People projects and cyclical administration activities such as performance reviews, audits, and purchase leave.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately for resolution.
ABOUT YOU
- Someone who cares about exceptional customer service across various channels.
- Experience in administration and coordination.
- Understanding of Human Resources functions including policies, procedures, employment conditions, compensation, recruitment, and payroll processes would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail, prioritisation skills, and ability to adhere to timelines, managing workload efficiently to meet deadlines even amidst changing circumstances.
- Commitment to maintaining strict discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally & written will all levels of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team member to achieve goals.
- Strong written communication skills, with an ability to write general correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software systems, or the ability and willingness to learn.
