Due to continuous growth, we are currently looking for a dynamic Program Delivery Manager to support our Level Crossing Removal Program of works.
This role will lead critical level crossing projects for MTM in supporting Victoria’s ‘Big Build’ Infrastructure Program. Reporting directly into the Project Director, you will be responsible for driving a continuous improvement focus to project-management by clearing bottlenecks and problem solving; as well as developing, supporting and coaching the leadership delivery team so that they can lead their teams to achieve the goals within the safety, time, cost and quality parameters determined for the Projects.
With the Victorian Government announcing extra funding and fast tracked projects in light of the current global pandemic, MTM Projects team will continue to play a vital part in revitalising the Victorian economy.
- Ensure that safety of the operating system is at the forefront of all negotiations, meetings and activities and is not compromised during the project and safety of contractors, passengers and MTM employees is at the forefront of all project related activities.
- Build and strengthen the capability of key delivery leadership roles, build on current talent retention and attraction through effective succession planning
- Build and sustain lasting relationships with a network of key stakeholders internally and externally to generate a deep understanding of business demands and facilitate partnerships that enable successful project outcomes.
- Negotiate tough situations skilfully with all stakeholders to enhance relationships.
- Drive values based decisions.
- Manage all aspects of allocated projects in conjunction with clients, designers and contractors to progress projects through development into delivery.
- Provide strong governance and leadership as an Alliance Leadership Team (ALT) member on Major Project Alliances as required, and oversee governance on specific alliances and ensure that MTM and Alliance teams are interacting effectively to achieve strong safety and commercial outcomes.
You will have at least 10 years’ experience managing complex rail projects or construction management teams, including all life cycle facets associated with design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover. Along with your Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent, and commercial exposure, you will possess significant leadership experience, operating at a senior level in a fast paced and changing environment. Your resilience and strength of character will be needed to influence, negotiate and deliver outcomes in line with MTM’s core values.
