We are currently looking for a Project Engineer, specialising in civil & structural engineering to support the successful delivery of what will be one of the most iconic projects in Melbourne, the highly anticipated Melbourne Airport Rail (MAR) Project!



The role:


Provide support the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager, by taking responsibility for the engineering activities and deliverables relating to civils and structures elements of the Melbourne Airport Rail Project. 


This is a full-time permanent role, primarily based in Melbourne’s CBD.


Key Areas of Responsibility:
•    Develop and maintain detailed technical knowledge of the project and package scope, providing briefings, presentations and information as required to team members, internal and external stakeholders.
•    Demonstrate the skills to break down complex technical information and present it in a way that is accessible to all team members regardless of background and discipline. 
•    Assist in embedding MTM’s technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with other MTM teams such as Development, Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to do so. 
•    Prepare for technical meetings, ensuring that items for discussion are understood by all participants and that supporting information is clear, direct and fit for purpose.
•    Build strong relationships with your peers across the other MAR packages, sharing and receiving knowledge, best practice and lessons learned to help us achieve a high standard of performance and consistency as a project.
•    Take responsibility for receipt, acknowledgement, review and sharing of incoming technical information such as drawings, specifications, requests for information, standard waivers, options assessments and analyses, working with the rest of the team as required.



About You:
•    You will have at least 3-4 years’ experience working in multi-disciplinary rail, structures or, construction projects. 
•    Tertiary qualification in Engineering (structures and civils will be highly considered).
•    Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments & ability to build rapport. 
•    Experience working in a fast-paced delivery environment.
•    Knowledge and experience of using project tools, systems and techniques such as reporting systems, document management systems, contract administration platforms.
•    Experience briefing and presenting to leadership.
•    Has an open attitude & enjoys working in a collaborative team!
