About the role

We are seeking a Risk & Systems Safety Assurance Advisor to support NWPA to support the delivery partners across the alliance and project. In this role you will ensure that Metro are complying with business requirements. You’ll also work closely with the team to ensure that they are identifying with continuous improvements to minimise safety risk, ensure reduced risk exposures and provide assurance to the manager.

This role is a full-time permanent role based out of the Albion office. 

Key Responsibilities

  • You’ll supervise the team with reporting and escalations of systems to ensure all changes are transmitted to stakeholders and management teams on a weekly basis
  • Manage MTM’s risk and safety assurance requirements as per the Projects Assurance Framework (PMF).
  • Develop risks and supporting documentation for risk transfer and acceptance by MTM business.
  • Develop project Risk and Safety Assurance Plans and Reports as required.
  • Assist the Risk and Systems Safety Assurance Manager to generate safety arguments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support with facilitating risk workshop for designs, waivers and other workshops regarding the risk management procedure to generate registers and reports
  • Manage the risk and safety assurance requirements and develop supporting documents for risk transfer and acceptance
  • You’ll develop and maintain project hazard logs to ensure all facets are identified
  • Develop, maintain and review validation and verification processes as part of the systems and safety assurance procedure
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the Project and Alliance to ensure collaboration across the teams

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in a suitable field i.e. Systems Engineering, Risk Management, other engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of ISO31000, EN50126 and AS/NZS 15288.
  • Experience facilitating risk assessment workshops and identification of risk reduction strategies and demonstrated experience in the development of hazard analysis and risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery incorporating risk management.
  • Strong report writing, analytical ability and critical thinking.
  • Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with all personnel throughout the organisation.
