About the team

The Risk Team is a corporate function responsible for Metro’s risk management framework and to provide support services for the business to effectively manage their risks to safety, environment and business continuity.

 

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Risk Performance Analyst, to play a pivotal role at Metro Trains by developing and maintaining processes to enable the business in measuring and visualising risk and control performance; including providing detailed analysis and insights to support decision-making processes to help Metro achieve its objectives while minimising potential adverse impacts on safety, environment and business continuity.

 

Please note this role will be a full-time, permanent role based out of 700 Collins Street.

 

Key responsibilities are:

  • Establish leading and lagging indicators to measure safety, environmental and business continuity risks and controls performance.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to visualise risk and controls performance to support on-going monitoring and trend analysis function.
  • Monitor risks and controls performance dashboards for signs of change.
  • Perform complex data/information collection and analysis to identify and quantify risks, as well as, to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that would require continuous improvements initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports and dashboards that highlight key risk metrics, variance analysis and findings, including providing actionable recommendations to mitigate identified risks, as well as, to inform risk-based assurance activities.

 

About you

Your experience and knowledge in performance analysis and management will be highly regarded. 

  • Tertiary qualification in a technical degree such as Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science
  • Experience in setting and monitoring performance indicators (risk preferably).
  • Strong ability in developing dashboards to monitor performance.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box to produce technical and creative solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Strong capability to simplify, write and present complex and technical information into insights to support decision making.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships and to work effectively as part of a team
