We are currently seeking a SERQ Systems Lead Auditor to join our Projects team.  The SERQ Systems Auditor will provide independent review and recommendations on matters relating to railway operations at risk from project construction activities; process’s and systems. They will assess and report on the safety and integrity of the rail infrastructure, passenger services and the safety of rail safety workers within the Project/s. 


Responsibilities:

  • Provision of independent advice to SERQ  Systems Manager regarding adequacy and efficiency of SERQ Systems Program and MTM SMS compliance within MTP and or project/s;
  • Responsible for the creating, coordinating and conducting of Audits, Inspections, Incident Reporting, Actions and NCRs entered into INX in the MTP Portfolio.
  • Manage interfaces with other MTM Audit, Quality representatives and project/s to identify issues and ensure consistency across the network.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on SERQ interface management between the RPVP SERQ management system and RTO Management systems.
  • Accountable for the management of the SERQ Systems monitoring / compliance (this includes but not limited to project/s direction, and delivery of functional Day to Day outputs).
  • Provide guidance for packages adherence & assurance to MTM SMS (risk control / potential impact on operational safety)
  • Manage and coordinate Audits / Inspections in consultation with the SERQ Systems Manager
  • Manage and coordinate Reports and  recording of findings in consultation with the SERQ Systems Manager

 

About you

  • A Risk and Safety/ Audit  lead who has appreciable level of rail knowledge and experience.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and consultation expertise
  • Strong report and concise report writing
  • Demonstrable analytical ability and critical thinking focused on Rail Construction / Operational environment 
  • Proven problem solving ability
  • Relevant experience in risk management, ideally in construction or engineering
  • Understanding in end to end cycle of a project
  • Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with all personnel throughout the organisation 
  • Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure strict adherence to deadlines
  • TTSA – Train Track Safety Awareness.
