Metro Trains Melbourne have a opportunity for a Senior Advisor - Transformation Communications supporting Metro’s engagement on Metro Tunnel Project (MTP) on a full time max term contract through to November 2025.
Reporting to the Transformation Communications Manager your role will be to support the development and lead the execution of Metro’s internal communications and engagement strategies with Metro employees about the significant changes to the Melbourne Rail Network as a result of the Metro Tunnel Project.
Working collaboratively and building strong working relationships across Project teams and the MTM operational business, the Senior Communication Advisor ensures that MTM employees are aware of the proposed changes and understand how it impacts them, through communications which align to an overarching transformation communications purpose.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Work with the Transformation Communications Manager to support the delivery of the Metro Tunnel Project Transformation Communications plans.
- Develop and deliver communications plans for specific cohorts of employees with a focus on how change impacts them and their roles.
- Produce and deliver, with support from Subject Matter Experts, a range of communication tools and collateral for internal audiences at all organisational levels (e.g. presentations, newsletters, FAQs, website content, videos, infographics, leaders briefing packs etc.)
- Manage stakeholders across the MTM business (partnering with internal and external communications colleagues) to deliver timely and appropriate communications as required to their employees.
- Provide issue management advice and direction to the business as required, with a particular focus on the workplace impacts of change.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, public relations, communications or equivalent work experience
- Experienced in internal communications with a focus on workplace/industrial change
- Experience developing and implementing communications strategies and plans.
- Ability to interpret complex technical information and communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and issues resolution skills.
- Proven ability to deliver a range of professional communications materials (print and digital) for different audiences.
