Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join the Team.

 

The Role

The Senior Project Coordinator position exists to support to the project controls function of the Systems Integration Team. The role comprises of various processes and procedures to deliver accurate reporting, including forecasting, to meet project objectives and ensure efficient use of funding.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ownership and coordination of the Systems Integration Actions register,

  • Coordinating Systems Integration inputs to gateway reviews (Internal and External),

  • Weekly coordination and tracking of deliverables and escalating if necessary.

  • Liaising with the Document Control team for submission of Systems Integration documents and artefacts,

  • Supporting the Systems Integration leads with compiling and accurately reporting on weekly and monthly reports.

  • Monitoring of Testing & Commissioning deliverables to ensure we are meeting the MTM Works Readiness process.

  • Supporting the Systems Integration leads with compiling and maintaining program management tools.

  • Alert Systems Integration Leads of any potential deviation from the estimated Project budget through accurate reporting.

  • Assist with the Systems Integration team resource schedule and forecasts.

  • Liaising with discipline leads to hire new resources, raising necessary requisitions and assisting with on-boarding.

 

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business Administration or Project Management would be advantageous.

  • Experience in administrating for large groups of different background and cultures.

  • 5 years’+ experience of Project Coordination ideally in a rail or Complex Integration / Systems related environment.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Excellent attention to detail with reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness ahead of external submission.

  • Ability to apply a safety focus and a willingness to promote a safe working culture.
