Signal Maintenance Technicians

The role:

Due to unprecedented growth in the rail industry, we are currently seeking expressions of interest for motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic qualified Signal Maintenance Technicians to perform reactive and preventative maintenance tasks across our diverse network.

With the introduction of high capacity Metro Trains there is an exciting opportunity to learn and develop in the latest signalling technology. MTM Signalling is a growing team and will continue to grow as our network expands.

Please note: Only fully qualfiied Signal Maintenance Technicians will be considered for this role.

Key responsibilities:

• Attend to fault rectification tasks as allocated by Fault Officers
• Install, repair and modify signalling equipment and infrastructure
• Indicative tasks which an employee at this level may be required to undertake include the following
• Complex and diverse maintenance of signalling equipment and systems
• Construction and installation of signalling equipment and systems
• Conformance testing associated with signalling systems
• Manual work associated with the installation and maintenance of signalling equipment

Education, skills and experience:

• Certificate IV In Electro-technology or Cert IV In Railway Signalling - Mandatory
• Qualified as an ‘A’ Grade Electrician - Mandatory
• Sound experience of train operating rules and procedures in relation to the functioning of signalling infrastructure
• Extensive knowledge and skills necessary to carry out a diverse range of technical duties within the Signals Maintenance Group
