About the Position

Reporting to the Head of Stations, you will be working as a part of a team of 5 and managing a team of up to 30 Direct and 300 Indirect Reports. Your role as the Stations Delivery Manager is responsible for leading a customer-centric culture across the Metro Trains Melbourne Stations Division upholding our Core Values of; Zero Harm, Caring, One Team, Dependable and Make a Difference.  

 

 Some of the duties and responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the ongoing success of the Operations Safety Improvement Program 
  • Contribute to, and oversee, daily operations performance in assigned group, ensuring significant customer and operational issues are escalated and proactively managed
  • Engage teams in cultural change, with a focus on continuous improvement activity
  • Lead and implement business improvement initiatives that drive and achieve continuous improvement 
  • Moderate and oversee management of tracking of reported incidents ensuring completion within required timescales 
  • Plan and implement financial year strategic plan and audits that seeks to identify and address key risks for business area
  • Review and drive frontline team performance and contribution 

 

There are currently 4 vacancies for the following groups and will be primarily based at these locations:

  • Caulfield Group (Caulfield Station)
  • Clifton Hill Group (Regent Station)
  • Burnley Group (Box Hill Station)
  • Northern Group (North Melbourne Station)

About You

To be a successful applicant for one of these positions, you will need to have exceptional people leadership skills and a strong ability to motivate, mentor and coach your team through a changing environment. You must have prior experience in a management role, managing large teams within a complex operational environment as well as a strong general business acumen.
