About the role

We are seeking an experience Supervisor to support the Operational Control System (OCS), Electrical (LV) and building services as the on-site based interface between Metro Trains and third parties delivering on the Melton Level Crossing and Melton Line Upgrade.

You’ll supervise all site works to ensure their completion to ensure that there is no interference with train operations and ensure all construction standards are maintained.

Please note this a 2 year max-term opportunity based out of the Melton Site Office.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a key interface with contractors and ensure that site is maintained a safe working environment
  • Conduct safety briefings, site toolbox meetings to ensure a zero harm culture
  • You’ll provide site documentation and ensure that all project records are maintained
  • Ensure that all activities on site are aligned with technical and quality contractual requirements
  • Undertake routine inspections of the site and identify, and action with the Contractor, any improvements to the site safety

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with OCS Design, Construction or Testing – with particular focus on Metro’s network and organisation.
  • Experience with working in coax, fibre, and structured cabling.
  • Detailed understanding of AS3000 electrical wiring rules standard.
  • Experience in the application of modern rail systems to brown-field sites preferred
  • Sound ability to read and interpret design drawings
  • Demonstrated experience supervising installation or maintenance of operational technology
  • Detailed understanding of Metro’s SERQA requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate for key outcomes through strong stakeholder management with a variety of complex stakeholders.
