Position Purpose Statement
Reporting to the Business Resilience Manager, this role is responsible for managing assurance across OPD from level 1 to Level 5 activities. The role has a particular focus on Business Resilience and emergency management assurance and plan delivery - including coordination of governance, exercising, and capability maintenance - to support management of emergency risk and continuous improvement
About the Role
Some of the duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Coordinate risk reviews for emergency risk
- Coordinate the Integrated Exercise Calendar which details and provides oversight of emergency management exercises
- Oversee assurance of emergency management training and emergency exercises against established KPIs
- Support delivery of emergency management franchise obligations and legislative requirements
- Manage corrective action processes across OPD
- Coordinate Business Resilience governance and assurance activities e.g, Emergency Management Advisory Committee (EMAC), Stations Emergency Planning Committee (EPC), Fire and Prevention and Preparedness Committee (FPPC)
- Conduct annual EMP audits of required stations to assess effectiveness and identify improvements
About You (Key Criteria)
To be considered for this role, you need to demonstrate a range of experience by responding to the following Key Criteria:
- Audit qualification and auditing experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the application of or management of assurance activities
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Occupation Health and Safety Act, Rail Safety National Law, and the Emergency Management Act.
- Minimum of 5 years experience of Business Resilience / Emergency Management experience
