About the Role


The Completions Engineer will assist in providing support within the SPA (Southern Program Alliance) Completions Team liaising with various levels of stakeholders, in compliance with Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) and PTV completions requirements and assist with the review process.


About your responsibilities:


  • This role will directly report to the Senior Completions Engineer and indirect report to the Project Services Manager Delivery.
  • Adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements as well as internal processes and guidelines.
  • Coordinate together with the following groups: Projects, Engineering Design Review Groups and Infrastructure Delivery to ensure that close out of all items meet set timelines.
  • Assist the Senior Completions Engineer with monitoring and reporting on progress by programs.
  • Review of submissions (EACRs, images, Forms and Certificates) for completeness and quality prior to submission to infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure all issues arising from asset data collection are addressed and resolved in a timely manner to achieve the upload of asset data into Ellipse and PASS.
  • Support the Senior Completions Engineer and Infrastructure Delivery in uploading asset data into Ellipse and PASS.
  • Assist in the approval processes to ensure all close out documentation including asset data and drawings are finalised in order to achieve project close out and sign off.
  • Update drawing registers, quality check drawing packages and ensure drawing complies with requirements.
  • Perform drawing controller functions for DMS book outs, book-ins and drawing number requests.


About you:


  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (preferable).
  • Experience and knowledge in reading/interpreting construction/as-built drawings (preferable).
  • Understanding of the drawing requirements to satisfy MTM standards
  • Basic understanding of Asset Management System.
  • Ability to develop, use and maintain administrative systems.
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritise work and meet completion schedules.
  • Ability to document and record/drawing management as well as asset data upload.
  • Ability to read & interpret technical and non-technical documentation.
  • Advance written and verbal communication skills.
