We are currently looking for a Project Engineer specialising in Track,  to join the team on the Metropolitan Roads Program Alliance!  


This is a permanent full-time role, primarily based at the Alliance office in Richmond, with some travel required to site locations in the South-East where required. 


This role will require you to be available for rail Occupations (shutting the rail network down for construction activities to safely take place), which can take place at night, weekends or, public holidays.



The role:


In this role you will provide support to interpret desired outcomes into a detailed plan that can be implemented by the project team through performing engineering work in the specialist area of track against standard techniques.


Key Areas of Responsibility:
•    Prepare project plans and risk assessments, scope of works for evaluation and tendering purposes.
•    Support project schedule management and project budget management.
•    Provide subcontractor commercial management, including the validation of claims, variations and execution of commercial agreements.
•    Ongoing reporting of the project progress.
•    Monitor, plan and execute work packages to ensure they meet quality, safety and environmental and design standards.
•    Consult with contractors and subcontractors on critical issues that impact on projects, and achieve agreement on the most appropriate course of action.
•    Ensure site access and excavation permits and other relevant documentation are adhered to.
•    Develop and monitor onsite quality assurance documentation.



About You:
•    Tertiary qualification in engineering 
•    3 to 4 years’ engineering experience within a complex Rail/Infrastructure project 
•    3 to 4 years’ experience with stakeholder engagement across multi - disciplinary organisations
•    Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders
•    Certificate 3 in Rail Infrastructure Core Modules. preferred
•    Able to work effectively as part of a team
