ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We currently have an exciting full time permanent opportunity for a Surburban Train Maintainer (STM) - Electrical  to join our new Kananook Maintenance Depot located in Seaford

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks including inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of the suburban train fleet vehicles including the newest XT2 trains. The role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and punctual operation of the train fleet.

  • Hours of work - A standard two (2) week repeating roster of week 1, day shift (Mon-Fri), week 2 afternoon shift (Sunday – Thursday)
  • Free on-site parking

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

  • Check and repair electrical circuits, undertake safety procedures and perform examination tasks.
  • Fault finding (using train electrical drawings and accepted fault-finding practices) including diagnosing faults using electrical schematics and standard practices.
  • Conduct scheduled train examinations and inspections including testing, repairing, and maintaining electrical circuits.
  • Respond to and assist with incidents involving derailments, collisions, pantograph entanglements, fatalities, and other operational disruptions.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and undertake general duties maintenance tasks

 

 

ABOUT YOU

 

 

  • AQF III Trade qualified as an Electrical Fitter or Electrotechnology Technician .
  • A current/valid Full Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance environment.
