About The Role


We are currently seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our Projects Division at Metro. The Project Controls Manager is responsible for leading the project controls function and its goals and objectives in this strategic and integral role you will ensure that project controls processes are consistently applied across projects and provides tools and systems to manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for Projects Division.


About your Responsibilities


  • Supports program integration, governance, formats, and project controls best practices.
  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with the Project Directors and Project Controls staff.
  • Collects and analyses KPIs and metrics and integrates the analysis into meaningful portfolio reporting that improve the overall operations.
  • Provides independent functional oversight, ensuring the Projects Division is complying with requirements and standards related to project controls.
  • Develops, implements and ensures adherence to cost control and scheduling standards, policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Develops, innovates and implements through the continuous improvement process, improved and more efficient project controls systems.
  • Proactively perform risk analyses and sampling of critical areas.
  • Provide input to progress report reviews to interpret and inform leadership team.
  • May provide guidance, direction, and specialised assistance to discipline leads in the resolution of cost and scheduling issues.


About you: 


  • Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and resolve issues independently
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to abstract key trends and issues from complex, detailed information
  • Demonstrated ability to forge and maintain productive working relationships, including the ability to use influence to support collaboration
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Oracle and Primavera applications
  • Drive and passion to create and maintain methodical and efficient processes and deliver accurate information
  • Skilled in administering Governance and/or compliance frameworks
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication with a strong ability to read the needs of the audience
  • Experience at communicating with and supporting Executive level stakeholders
  • Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to
  • Autonomous, resilient, inclusive and focussed working style
